Hi kids,
I just picked up my first late model Mustang, a '98 Cobra. The clutch pedal is very heavy (stiff), and a Ford mechanic has told me that the clutch/t.o bearing is going bad and if I don't replace it soon it could tear apart the under dash cable(?) anchor points or some damn thing. Never heard of such a thing myself, but that's why I'm asking here.
The clutch doesn't really exhibit any other signs of IMMINENT failure (the bearing is a little noisy, but I've certainly driven worse). So, am I risking a catastrophic failure of some kind or not?
What is a good, popular clutch for a stret driven Mustang?
Mucho Thanks in advance!!
