I just purchased my next set of mods, with the wife's approval no less! UMI rear LCA's w/ relocation, UMI adjustable panhard bar, and Hurst Billet shifter headed my way. The UMI stuff is all on sale at Summit, just so everyone knows! I saved like $44 on the 2 UMI items! Now I only really want an adjustable UCA and some Roush springs, but those will have to wait until next spring probably. I'm really trying to be good and wait to up the power stuff until she's out of warranty, but at only 500 miles or so a month she'll still have plenty of years left in her when that happens!
It's really amazing how well the 2010's + steer/front end handling, but how scary the rear end still is in quick transitions/braking applications over bumps. Hopefully, some of my new pieces will help take care of that! It's kind of funny that this car actually needs a stiffer suspension in order to keep everything planted and yet give it safer/better handling. I hear people saying with springs the ride will get worse, but actually in my mind it get better because while you feel a little more of the bumps the car handles them much better without the rear bouncing all over the place. It used to be the chassis flexed so much that the suspension had to be ridiculously stiff in order to handle well, now the chassis is so much better they relax the suspension a lot to give a cushy ride (comparatively).
