This thing is not too far off the numbers on a new M3:
GT:300HP
0-60 in 5.1 and 1/4 in 13.5 at 103.6
M3:333HP
0-60 in 4.8 and 1/4 in 13.3 at 106-107

Either this thing is underrated and/or the power is finally making it to the ground on this thing. Damn panhard rod is being stock was a bit of a stroke of genius on Ford's part huh?
I still can't do a regular GT again since this is my third and I had to spend too much money for additional gains in handling and power so the Cobra is the next option BUT this thing sure is making the Mustang finally a performance force to be reckoned with....Now if they can get this pig on a diet and put a bigger tire and wheel than the bicyle tires that are on it and lower the thing about 1.5 inches and.......(that's why I can't do a regular GT again )

i agree that the mustang is pretty quick now
but it shoulda beeen last generation's engine to compete with that gen of F-bods of course only the Mustang is left now but last gen of F-bods are still faster

and i also agree, my next stang won't be a GT, Cobra or Mach or whatever is better.

Stteda has had them up on their dyno and told me they average 275-285 rear wheel HP in stock form. So, yes they are definitely underrated!

Those are real good numbers from an inexpensive good ole American car . Glad I bought my Cobra already because I really would have been tempted to go with the GT !

I have put mine on steroids by putting the SCT tune on it and what a difference. This is just with the exhaust mod so far. My car has not been on the dyno yet but I will be willing to guess that I now have at least 30 more horses. Can't wait for the cold air kit to see what I can pull. I have my eye on the 400 mark without the Kenne Bell. I don't know if I will make it but it sure is fun trying.

the current E46 M3 has been taken as low as 12.7 in 1/4 mile bone stock. I doubt a stock mustang gt will ever get that close.

however, ford has done a great job giving the mustang more grunt, it isnt in M3 territory yet but thats what the Cobra is for anyways.

12.7 bone stock? Where have you seen that? My roomate has an M3, no one in his BMW club of ~21 memebers can break 13.48 stock.

True. I have NEVER seen a stock M3 run lower than a 13.3 in ANY magazine and NEVER lower than 13.5 at the track.(Commerce here in Georgia is a good .2 to .3 worse than Silver Dollar)
A 12.7 M3 would equal a new C6 with 67 more horses and 300lbs less weight.

BTW Steeda already is claiming 350hp at the crank with bolton performance mods (headers, coldair, exhaust, etc) and a tune. Your 400hp at the crank with some form of heads and intake and/or cam would be very feasible......
