Looks good, but wingless is still the best.

When my Saleen S281 wing was stolen, I almost got this one as the replacement. It was originally supposed to be ready at the end of 2003, but was going to be available last week. I think they have started shipping the first ones. The best thing to is to call them to confirm this. I was going to get me one, but then opted for a Saleen S351 wing. I am really glad I did, too ... it looks awesome (I had not seen an S351 in person before). Next week I will post a thread with pics of the new wing.

Also, my car is currently wingless, and I am not digging the look.

Yeah, about $250 or so, if I remember correctly.

This is a little :OT: but my Saleen S351 came in pretty good condition, far better than the very rough initial condition of my S281 (just in case any one cares)...

Does anyone know what kind of condition it will be shipped in? Is it ready to paint or is there some prep work? I can't believe you can order it in your specific color. I could buy some DR for that kind of money.

Here is the response I got from them back in February.

I have not contacted MRT since.

I also asked about having to have the front holes filled and they said the wing will cover all exsting holes.

I was planning on an 03 cobra wing for my vert, but I think I'll be going with that one...especially if it will cover the mounting holes for my stock wing.

All that we had seen previously was that one picture of the yellow Mustang. It was because that there was only one picture why I opted for the Saleen S351 wing (replacing my stolen S281 one). Now I am REALLY glad I did go the S351 route. The way the MRT takes over the entire deck lid looks very questionable to me. I know why they did it, though -- so they would cover the holes in 99/ 00 and 01+ trunks with the same wing.

Wow, until I see some better pictures than these, this wing gets the big vote from me ... at least for now ...
