Edmunds has some specs up for the 2011 Mustang and they put the curb weight of the 2011 V-6 Mustang at 3,750 pounds..

Ouch...that's a little tubby. Its damn near what my Cougar weighed in stock trim. I hope it was a convertible model?

I don't think any stroked 351 is going to offer the sheer drivability and tq of a v10...just not going to happen.

That and I'm pretty sure over half of this forum is on some pretty good drugs. Not only do you all hate everything NOT mustang; but if it's not the year of your car; you hate THAT mustang too....lolol

Back to LS1tech I go!

The 2nd Generation Viper engine used in his build puts out 450 bhp @ 5200 rpm & 490 lb-ft @ 3700 rpm in N/A form. Decent power figures, but not when you consider he's working with 8.3L of displacement. Those figures are easily matched or surpassed by any number of 393, 408, 418, 427, or 438 Windsor stroker kits currently available....as shown by many members running them on this site.

I just think you're likely to find better manners and economy with the 'mild' v10 cranking out those #s. Anything large cubed and cammed decently is going to suffer.

It's not just yourself. Plus you can scapegoat anything; you rock a cougar
