New NHRA proposed rules for Street Legal Races

Why not, as long as you have a stock block your OK, or......what have you done to your ride?

His car did not come factory with a Power adder, and in the new rules it has to be a stock OEM Power adder. The only mustangs that came with turbo's where in the 80's and they were 4 cylinders..lol :D

gotcha...I guess I can run....yeah baby! No roll cage required.

And if you read into it a little more:

-Otherwise, any pure-stock, street-legal car running 11.50 or slower (example: stock Dodge Viper) would be governed by the proposed new Pure Stock Street Legal rules, providing the vehicle remains completely OEM stock.

-Once any power adders or performance hardware are added to a Pure Stock Street Legal vehicle, it is then also classified as an E.T. vehicle

-must remain as produced by the OEM manufacturer to be deemed an accepted street-legal vehicle.

Therefore jordan you would still need a rollbar due to you have changed quite a few things..lol :p Not that you will be running 11's anytime soon :p :p :owned:

So unless your car is "COMPLETELY STOCK" as in the day it came off of the manufacturing line, you might save yourself the trouble and get the required safety equipment.

Yah and that riot act is no joke. They are cracking down hard. As the owner tells me after the second 11 second timeslip:

" Mr. Brooks you can keep racing but if you run another 11 second or faster time without the required safetey equipment you will be BANNED FOR LIFE from all NHRA legal tracks, do you understand? Great please SIGN here and have a nice day"

Stangler was like WOW...lol and I was like.......uh yes sir, won't happen again.

What a night.

Unless they're Ford certified techs they dont cant tell if its OEM or not, and the last time I checked they were a bunch of morons, so I'm sure that even a Kenne Bell would pass. Also it mentions several mods that are alowed such as exhaust and so on.
