new pads/rotors, still squeel, what to do?

ok had new pads/rotors put on about a month or so ago, since I dont have a garage and live in an apt I had to have them done by midus. well they were squeeking when they got put on, took the car back said wtf, they said I had to put some miles on it, well nearly 2,000 miles later still squeel. what do I need to do?

What kind of pads did you have put on? Did you bed them in properly?

yes did the bedding process. rotors are power slot rotors, slotted and dimpled, and pads are hawk pads.

Its the pads. HP+? They require a lot higher temp than the stock pads. Before dumping the ford calipers and going to the Wilwood FSL 4 piston. I tried the hawks. They did well on the road track but sucked around town. I tried the brembo f1000's and they were much better. Either switch back to stock pads or maybe some EBC greens. Hawks are too hard a compound for most driving.

i had a similar issue, and it ended up being the little washers holding the factory rotors on. im assuming those are gone now since you have aftermarket parts?

only thing different in the brake department is the rotors and pads, rotors are the same size as stock ones, just different type. calipers are the stock ones.

I just installed Brembo rotors(nothing fancy) and Hawk HPS pads and put on plenty of brake quiet. Not a single peep. Took about 30 minutes to do the job.

You get it at any auto parts store. Basically you spray it on the backside of the pads where they insert into the calipers. keeps them from squeaking. Looks like Midas never did that.

you are right, I watched them the whole time and they never sprayed anything on the pads or any other part, theyjust removed the old and put in the new. hopefully that will fix it.

Try this, http://huskybrakeantisqueak.com/product.asp ,and apply this stuff
directly on the pad lining and let it soak in overnight(or at least half and hour), I use this stuff everytime I do brake jobs, I get from the parts department where I work at, "Land Rover". I also put silver anti-seize on brake pad brakets where pads slide on and make contact. Never had a "picky" customer come back for brake squeek/squeal.
