Haven't seen a photoshop yet but it sounds like it definitely has potential......I'd say the location of the line where the 2 colors meet will make or break that paint job

Can't tell much from the above pic, but until I see something different, my preference would be, very humbly and respectfully, NO. I just don't think Bullitt Green and black would work well together--not much contrast. Only color I've seen work well with Highland Green (what it was in 68) is gold or white, and only in very limited quantities, like a stripe. hood, roof, and trunk would be too much, if you ask me (which you did), but then again, as they say on the vintage forums, it's your car, do what you want!

to me, it would look like you got your car fixed after a hail storm and you ran out of money to have the panels painted. if you really want the green and black, I'd go with the beltline as your half mark or just paint the roof and c-pillars.

Very true, they say it all the time too!

thethirdeye88-

Husky44 and Nathan (RFMustangGT) make good points. Black and dark highland green are in fact... dark colors. As an amateur photographer, I always look at how colors compliment each other and how they work together. I'm not at all meaning to shoot down your dream, but I don't think black and DHG compliment each other because DHG is too dark.

If you're looking for other two-tone ideas with black or DHG paint- I've got a couple in mind.

#1- You could replicate the GT-H look with black or DHG body color with gold stripes.

#2- Or, you could combine the look of the Bullitt with the Mach 1 (I'm guessing this is the look you might be going for )- paint the body DHG, get a Mach 1 chin spoiler, and paint the rear spoiler and hood (like in the picture) flat black. Consider painting the cowl panel and mirrors flat black to match. You might also want to get darker tint or black Bullitt rims to add a little more black to the look. This "option" will give you both colors you want, with subtle uniqueness.

Again, I'm not trying to bash your idea- just trying to help you decide what to do. Paint jobs ain't as easy to change as wheels you know.

Picture compliment of... 95rio I think? I photoshopped this way back in March.

i'm sorry to say i'm aligned with the other guys. I think it will look unfinished if you don't paint the a/c pillars. It should be all top surfaces and not just certain panels. I think the color scheme could work but i'd recommend painting at a body line rather than a physical part line.

I say break the paint at the beltline and I think the green/black will be sharp...
