Me and my old man were looking at what you've got and what you started with... let me tell you ryan, **** all the haters - you did a FANTASTIC job on that car. I personally can't wait to see it when you're done with it. Also, what's the color on that GTO? what color blue? that's THE color i've been looking for for my 89 notch.

edit: paint everything the same... well, that's my plan at least.

also, i don't know why everyone was complaining so much about rust - i loved sanding my car down. then again, my rust was minimal with minimal body work (i just rubber hammered out a couple dings, applied bondo to one little spot on the left front fender, and re-aligned everything)... it wasn't bad at all

it was so exciting to see the primer all over it, to see the car in one singular color.... mmmm... i can't wait to see what mine looks with paint.

are you going to do anything special with the interior? any kind of audio system?

audio is finished. its got 4 6" speakers and a new head unit...ill take a few pics later when i go pick up my sis from school, im at home, temp of 102 being sick sucks, i hate winter.

none is more ready to see it painted then me.

its impulse blue. its godly in person

i say before you paint it, drop it and put one of those style bars on it...that'd be sweet

i plan to. when i put the new rear end in im going to drop it, and im thinking about MAYBE box the upper and lower controlling arms. not sure if it would be worth my time or not since i could pick up a nice set for around 150.

id like to put a styling bar on it, but there like 450+. so unless i can find a nice used one ill wait.

I'd go with that blue and paint it all around. If you do it right you wont have to worry about paint flaking off if someone hits your door. PM me for details if you want.

ah trust me. People at my school are retarded. Every day its a race to the exit with them, a buddy of mine was sitting there beside my car and i was talking to him when all of a sudden a old dodge truck runs right into the front of him at about 40mph. caused like 5k in damage to his mustang (06 v6 vert). i can tell people have routed around in mine before as i dont look the doors. i keep my cds under the driver seat in a sun visor pouch they were all throw about the floor boards. ( i put the face plate in the trunk ).

this is why i will never drive my dads car to my school. if i came home and someone did that **** to his car. my ass would be in deep ****. this is also way i park in the wayyyyy back of the lot now.

lol, no he needs to paint ti first, other wise ppl will think he is just polishing a turd, and you know how that goes.

Lookin better. I cleaned the **** out of my interior today, but we are still in a damn drought and can't wash cars or any do outside watering

I'm gonna wash it tomorrow tho at one of those places that recycle the water. I have off so I am also gonna start a few other little fix up projects. Keep it up.

Oh and dump your exhaust asap.

yeah im painting it first dont worry, my interior is dusty. its to cold to care right now so it can stay like that.

Then why did you clean it??? I see so many people with "clean" cars, no tire shine and they look dirty to me. The 5 seconds it takes to toss some on there makes a world of difference in my eyes... but then again what do I know about making a car look decent...

Just ribbing ya.

this is the only pic i have of it on a lift.

if i could find someone willing to photoshop something for me i can give you all and idea of how i want it to look.

When I can learn more about this computer thing, instead of working all the time to pay for it, I'll post up more than an avatar pic of the Stripptmobile, Ryan! Everyone has the standard red/black/grey/ white, that Goat blue is awesome, a great way to go- look up Mikie, 03 Sonic blue is pretty close. The hole in that spot is common for all us non Texans, and easily fixable!
