I put on the lower intake today, and stripped my old engine of the fuel rails and injectors.... I have to go over in a few minutes and clean up the fuel rails, and polish them, clean up the wiring harness for them, and tommorow I gotta pic up my 24 lb injectors... and order the injector tube for my mass air meter from a guy on stangnet... I laid the valve covers on (which do not fit) and i put two bolts in the upper intake for pics... it's sooo beautiful i almost **** myself lol

THE QUESTION::::

The Valve Covers do not fit, and the oil baffel or whatever it is under there is what is getting in the way... also the oil neck is on the opposite side as stock, should I send these covers back and get the right ones?? Or can I cut out this baffle (grind i guess) and make the existing valve covers work... if the baffle wasn't there, theyd fit, but the oil neck is still opposite... THANKS

oh and i didn't clean or furthur polish the intake or valve covers, and my hands were greasy when they were going on lol so it will def be alot shinyer when it's done, because its sooo shiny here, but i want it even shinyer lol !! Do you think this will be show worthy? lol w/ that nice mass air inlet tube, the chrome radiator bracket (long one, not individual ones) the painted brackets that go on the front of the motor, and the completely cleaned and painted engine bay... i hope it looks as good as I want it to !!

oh and by opposite side, i don't mean opposite side of the ENGINE i mean opposite side of the VALVE COVER, Look in the straight on pic of the front of the engine, and it's on the BACK of the passengerside valve cover, it's not in the front thats what i mean anyways...

lucky bastard?? lol - your lucky you still have all the money it cost me to have such a cool thing lol - i could have bought another 5.0 mustang w/ 100k miles on it by now w/ the money I've spent, w/ all the odds and ends, i'm well over 4 grand now.... i'm def lucky though

Even though when it's all done i'll have it runnin thinkin it's like a really good running, basically a bran new engine n car, and somethin stupid like a fuel pump relay will go n i'll be pissed lol isn't it the 12 dollar part that always keeps us 5.0 guys unhappy?? lol

thats the type of valve covers i have on my mustang. i have found that the bracket that holds the throttle cable to the tb/egr will be in the way for you to even have a breather back there. on my car its plugged up and i have the breather on the front on the driver's side. i figure, stock there was no breather or vent on the driver's side so ill be fine with the vent there now, and none on the passanger side

i hope so, because i don't feel like sendin them back and waiting, the motor might be going in within the next two weeks, though we are pushing my car off the lift tonight, so my dad can work on his 63 Chevy - and than i bet my car doesn't go back on for a month, it's how my dad is ...

Yea, send them back the valve covers are for a carbed car. Get efi valve covers. Might need tall valve covers for the roller rockers. If you do get a phenolic spacer for the intake so they clear. I had to get tall valve covers for mine when I put roller rockers on.

what size roller rockers were they, mine are 1.6's and how much is a spacer, cuz i'm runnin out of money - I just bought the injectors and FPregulator today - that ran me 327 bucks lol i'm really runninlow

Send them back and get the EFI version...blue oval industries has a nice set that will clear 1.7's....the line from the valve cover to the TB needs to be in place for proper venting...breathers are not correct route for N/A set up. look really really nice paul..good work.

i know - plus my frame rails in the bay ended up being rotted, so we are welding in braces and fixing that now as well, so the time it takes to do that, i could get the valve covers right - i might justbuy a set of valve covers and be done w/ it... instead of waiting - but thanks alot for the compliments - it looks 11110000 times better in person lol it's soo captivating isn't it?? i just polished the fuel rails n put 24# injectors in there, so they are shiny as well... lookin nice around here!!!
