New Pony in the barn.

You will have to let us know what you think of all the cockpit controls meow then in a week or so and then a month.
I wish the drive mode toggle switch was closer, the thing resets every time the car is turned off. I did manage to find the controls for the cluster and ambient lighting. (now it's all green instead of red.) The layout of the steering wheel buttons is good because it's familiar, similar to the layout in the Fusion. So button searching has been minimal so far. I love the single window design for the gauge cluster. My Mom's 2017 has the split cluster and I never really cared for it. With the large amount of real-estate in the cluster window there is ample data that can be displayed. They have also tied it into the Nav system so you get a turn indication on the console screen as well as in the center of the gauge cluster.

Still getting used to the rev-matching when down shifting, but it is a nice feature.

Took some time at lunch today to get into the meat of the display. So many options, but some good info can be cycled for display by using the arrow buttons on the steering wheel.

Sport Mode with the variable displays of info in the center.

This is what I've decided to show for now. Like @Noobz347 said, it's subject to change a day, week or month from now.

RPM/Gear - Air/Fuel - Cylinder Head Temp. - Incoming air temp - MPH

Don't need Vac. or Oil pressure because they are physically on the dash center.

Its a cool set up with lots of widgets.
I'm liking the accelerometer / g meter....but would find myself staring at it around turns.:D:eek::rolleyes:

30 day Review:

Love, love, love this car! I'm still getting used to the rev-match on the down shifts, but it is a great feature in my opinion. I don't have to ride the clutch until the speed comes down for a smooth turn, like I did with the '03 GT. I'm also still working on the breaking. Those Brembos with the huge rotors bite extremely well with just the lightest pressure on the peddle. I only wish the pads were a different material, lots of dust on the wheels already. Only a little over 500 miles on the clock and still have not gotten it into 6th gear. I can ride around town all day in 3rd at 40-mph and still nowhere near 4k-rpm. I have added a sunscreen and weather-tech floor/trunk liners to the interior making things easier to keep clean. I've considered a custom fit dash cover but I really don't want to put any adhesive velcro strips on my dash. I do enjoy the sport mode over the normal on the short trips in to work but the normal mode for those longer drives is a bit easier on the ol' torn rotator cup. The 12 speaker Sync3 system is a keeper. The sound is good enough for me and the base can be felt through the floor if desired. The touch screen is more sensitive and easier to use than the Sync systems in the Fusions from 2016.
I still have not found anything major that is disappointing or needing to change about this car other than the brake pads.
