Hello all. Last week a friend of my wifes was going to send this car to the bone yard so I offered up the 100.00 bucks that the yard was going to give him. The body overall is in good shape with a ding or so here and there and the passenger side fender needs to be replaced. All body panels have matching VIN's with a good running 4cyl and AOD. Grey inside but he replaced the seats with RED seats for some reason. I plan to strip the car down and do full body work and get rid of the 4 banger in favor of a stock 5.0 H.O I have in the garage. Just a simple project... I have no idea why I got it because I had planed to sell my 87' GT in Feb to buy a new(er) GT, at least that is what I told my wife.

Sounds like your wallet AND mine.

It did not run when I got it. Guy said he changed the water pump and it did not run after that. Turned out to be a bad coil pack. I had an extra and it started right up. No matter because it's getting a V8 anyway. He just had no clue how to diagnose and fix the problem. I have a Ford Ranger that I have to put a new clutch in and after I give that back to my dad I plan to start on the 91'. I'm going to strip it down inside and pull the motor and start on the body from there. No rush though. I am having a blast driving my 87' on the rebuild.
