I talked to someone at anderson ford motorsport a while ago and they had mentioned that they were working together with Professional products to develop a new lower intake manifold for the 2V. I recently got a mustangs unlimited catalog and this intake was in it, it was going for $649.95 for polished and $529.95 for satin, they claim they have seen increases of 25hp and 21ft/lbs of torque when used with 2001-2004 pi heads. this was at 6000 rpm. I was wondering if anyone has this intake yet or has seen anymore testing on it. If there claims are true it would be a pretty good bang for the buck. Let me know if you know anything more about this or have seen diffrent results. thanks.

I was considering the Intakes.. but I have decided screw it, I am gonna pay the car off.. then get a Modularpowerhouse package.. Longblock and KB.. FTW!!!

might not get it until this winter.. but by god im getting it.

Anderson Motorsports is full of **** :nice:

Built block with Unkown compression
Fox Lake Stage II heads
Stage II Cams
All Bolt-ons EXCEPT TB/Plenum
75mm TB/Plenum were a part of the dyno run that gained 25hp

This thing wont gain 5hp on a stock or mildl bolt-on 2V GT.

i have a buddy getting it...he's number 6 on the AFM list. as soon as it comes in we are bolting it up and dynoing it. he's got all the boltons and it will be on pi heads and cams. he has his heart set on this intake and we have big expectations from what the guys over at AFM have spoken with us on the phone about for countless hours. we shall see!

I hope you guys didn't really fall for Andersons BS! They are trying to sell these for profit remember!!! If a Bullitt Intake which is upper and lower with a twin Throttle Body only gains 5HP on a stock-medium bolt on 4.6 I can't see this lower intake besting those numbers. I do hope I am wrong but i really only see this intake being worth the effort if your Supercharged or you have every bolt on with Cams/P&P heads etc. This is the reason I think the other companies have not released their versions of the intake because they don't make enough power to justify the cost.

Someone rich should by it and have it dynoed on a fairly stock GT.
Well that will be you after you sell your LI home and move :D
I'm sure prices have gone up slightly over the years....I'll be in the same boat when I finally decide to head south. Hooray for equity!

wow, that thing is DEFINATELY going to be heavier than the stock plastic one.
Reguardless of hp, if you're HARDCORE into taking ur stangs to shows, it sure would look good + it "adds hp" to boot.

I sure as hell wont buy that though

Check out the May 06 Issue of 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords. They install it on an 01 GT and dyno it. I've seen it for $499.95 at one of the mail order places.
we've all seen it and know about it. These intakes have been coming out for 4 years now. The company who dyno's it in the article is also one of the companies SELLING IT so how do you think they will report its results!!!!

Magazine dynos are all crap. For example: As if a company with a consist two page Steeda ad would ever post a dyno saying that a Steeda product was worthless. 5.0 has even published some results where their made up hp/tq numbers complete contradict each other (they were impossible).

We just have to wait for someone on here or the depot to do an honest test.
