New problem! (56K take a nap!)

Well, I think most of you know and if you don't, I turboed my car over winter. What a fun Job! Steve(Gixxer750)Helped me some, as well as some other people. I did most of the manual work by myself... Here are some pics

These are some pics of the finished product. Car worked good! Pulled like crazy! Now I got the new problem at the bottom of the page....












These are the gauges in place. EGR is not hooked up



Here are a couple vids of the car when it was working. When these were taken, I could not bring the car to full boost or it would fall on its face due to not having enough check valves before the BAP(I fixed that little problem)... Enjoy!

Nice dude

Blown head gaskets are very common with turbo setups..I'm sure you knew that

Those are fun problems though hehe... Build it stronger and have more fun until it dies again... rinse and repeat until you can't take the G's anymore

Took one head off last night... It does not looked bad??? When I take the other head off today, I hope to see a popped head gasket or that means I have another problem.

I'll post pics of when I get both off.

better a head gasket than something more serious!
good luck!

i wish I had the guts, time, money, knowledge to do a turbo setup.

agreed. some people swear by o-ringing heads. to me, id much rather blow a gasket then something else!

Now the fun part of putting it all back together!

I will add, its been a god time for it to break down cause it has been nonstop rain for about two weeks!

edit: I have never taken heads off a 5.0 before, do they look like origional head gaskets?

im not sure ive ever seen an original gasket! lol

The redish/orange makes me think Mr Gasket true seals, but i could be wrong.
