My 2 front O2 sensors are not long enough to reach so I ordered some extensions that are backordered for 8-10 business days. Is it bad to drive my car without the front O2's for this long?

In the other thread someone mentioned that my car would run like crap, but I've been driving it for a few days now without them and dont notice a difference.

Also, for some odd reason today my check engine light went off...with neither front O2 being plugged in

not having your front sensors plugged in will effect power alot, when the knock sensors (if equiped) O2's or Maf fail the car goes into a "limp mode" that pulls timing and runs the car pig rich it's shouldn't harm the car perminantly to do this.

(this I have never seen, so it may not be 100% accurate!) but I have heard running it too long like this may cause the condition to become semi perminent in the CPU and can only be undone with a reflash

hmm, thanks for the info Joel

Anyone else know for sure if it is actually harming my car to run without the front O2's? I really don't wanna have to wait another 2 weeks to drive my car.
