This probably sounded a lot more exciting than it really is so i thought i would warn you. I have a 2000 convertible w/ no ups. Well ever since i bought my car a year ago, there has been a ticking noise comin from the back left wheel. When i bought it, I asked the lady what it was. Her reply was that it was nothing serious, she had taken it to the dealer where she bought it and asked them and they said it was normal. Well it gets fairly annoying mostly because of everybody asking "what is that noise?" So for my B-day my parents told me they would get it fixed. They took it up the the local tire place that they are friends w/ the owners of. When I got off of work that day, my parents told me they thought my ball bearings were WAY out of whack. There were a couple of different options they could try to see if it fixed the noise but altogether those were going to cost about 600 dollars. The other way to go was get a completely different rearend. The cheapest they could find one was 560 dollars that was stock w/ 60K miles on it. They are goin to charge 280 bucks to install it this thursday. I tried to convince my parents that they should get an 8.8 w/ 3.73 or 4.10 gears but they weren't big on the idea of spending even more money since they were originally guessing 3-4 hundred dollars. The 800 was way more than they were thinkin w/o having to spend more on the rearend, then have it tuned so the speedo was right.

Ok well i just thought i might tell you guys what's goin on w/ my stang at this point in its life. Thanks for readin all of the way through if you made it haha.

Also this saturday I am gettin a box built for my system. I have a 1500W RMS MTX class D amp that will power a same wattage audiobahn 12. The backseat is completely out and replaced with 3/4" MDF. The box is going to come straight out from the top and slightly angle down. the 12 will be inverted on top w/ the amp on the front of the box. two ports on each side of the amp on the front. should be plenty loud...

how much hp do you plan? If under 300, the 7.5" is strong enough to support 300rwhp with the right differential, under 300rwhp the 8.8 is too much with how much it weighs. Either way, good luck with the rear stuff. Would be nice to find a good 3.73 or 4.10 with a posi in it for cheap.

I don't really plan on addin too much horsepower wise at this point in time. I don't really have much money layin around to throw at my car anymore.

I visit both sites a couple of times a day actually. What are you doin over here to see this anyway max?

Got the rear end installed today. $984 to get rid of a ticking noise in the back haha. The rearend only had 20K miles on it though so i'm happy.
