I want to go ahead and replace my stock rotors and wonder if there are any that don't rust easily. Also, on ebay you can buy slotted rotors for $140 a set. Are these good to get or should cheaper rotors be avoided? Also, does anybody make some decent powder coated calipers or is it just as easy to have the stock ones coated? I hate the rusty look behind the new wheels I'm getting. You guys have helped me a lot on my new car but I will need some more help.

Yes if you have rust on your rotors I would either have them resurfaced
or you can buy those slotted rotors because the slotted rotors will go good
with your new wheels as you say congrats your fortunate.If you can get
them for 140 a set on ebay I say that's a deal because I see them for 100
or more a slotted rotor all the time at alot of places.I say get them on ebay
if you are going too save dough that way.In my opnion most slotted rotors
don't rust really unless the rotors themselfs are exposed to water or moister
climates.I say if they some how got surface rust I say resurface them with
a light grinder it's easy and they will look new again just like when you first
bought them.Also the stock calipers are easy to powdercoat or paint and they
will look great behide the new wheels your getting.Anyway what wheels are
you putting on your stang Rob?

I'm kinda stuck on the final wheel choice. My car is red and I figure chrome looks the best so the wheels are a kind of tough decision. I really don't want to spend over $1000 on wheels so I like Cobra R knock offs on ebay,
280M Motorsport Cobra R's from Performance Wheel Outlet, and SSR GT3 from tiretrak.com. The GT3 are awesome but they're a fortune. I don't want Cobra R's necesarrily because everybody has them but they look good. I've been looking on here and other places and can't find pics of a wheel on my style mustang that really stands out. I want something different that looks awesome without spending $1500 plus on just wheels. Also, I figure 17" wheels are about the biggest I should go safely because in the summer it is going to be a daily driver. If you have any good wheel suggestions I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Drilled and slotted paired with Hawk HPS brake pads are nice;

I got the zinc plated rotors from this guy;

The stopping effort is minimal...this is a good street set-up

Ever look at chrome bullitts? Check the rest of my page...

If you need help on some pointers replacing your set-up, shoot me an email...

If your really getting wheels Rob I say get the 18" Chrome
bullet wheels because they will fill the wheel we'll gap(but,they will not rub) and look great in my opnion with a red stang!
