well i have been around the forums for a while but joining up in here now that my old car, sonic blue 2004 gt, got totaled. i am getting ready to buy an 08 vista blue GT. i have one question for you guys. i know the offset on the wheels are different for the 197 but how far off? i have a set of 18x9 18x10 fr500's from my old car that i was just going to sell but i bad would they be on the 197 ?

thanks in advance and i will post up the pics when i bring the car home later this week.

They normally will stick out too far on a S197 if they were made for the last gen mustangs. You would need to know the backspacing and offset

I'm pretty sure the 18x9's are 26mm off set (at least that's what they were on mine), but I have no idea what the 18x10's are.

Most of the time, they'll stick out too far. Especially the 18x10's. But not always, sometimes they look really good. Just hold on to them and try them on would be my suggestion. And welcome to the S197 world. Many of us have owned Sn95's previously. Make sure to post some pics of the old one and the new one.

flyboy86 had a 2004 GT with the same wheels you had. He put them on his '07 and they stuck out too far.
