New Seats for 2000 GT, Cloth or Leather???

I am looking to buy after market seats for my car. Basically it is used for Shows. I would like opinions on what to buy, cloth or leather or vinyl. Would also be interested in what Brands are best in the affordable end, not the high end...Any comments greatfully accepted...

Depends on your own taste. Vinyl or leather will be hot in the summer but have the most "upper class" feel and price to them. The cloth done right can look really really good,especially on a dedicated racing seat. Most company's make a wide range of seats so just shop around and find one youlike the look and price of.

my personal opinion is cloth for convertibles and leather for hardtops...nothing like burning the bottom of your ass and back of your legs wearing shorts in the summer. I got these on ebay for around 300/shipped..and I have been pleased with them

thanks for the compliments! they are e-speed racing seats. I got them on ebay about a year ago..the company makes other brands too...DAD is one, and there is one other one...they are hard as hell to put on, since you have to use your brackets, and reattach them. they send brackets, but don't even come close to fitting.

Corbeau CR1's here. Ordered in black cloth and then custom upholstered in 2-tone leather...dark charcoal down the middle..black on the bolsters and backs. There's more interior mods in the pics...btw..exterior is black. The car has won a few awards, best interior was one of them. www.corbeau.com is their site...pretty good prices IMO.

i personally love leather. to me there is nothing better than sitting down in a good quality leather seat. IMO the leather on a stock mustang kinda sucks. my dad has a 2002 Grand Prix that has decent leather. and my mom has a 2001 infiniti I30 with leather, the infiniti is my favorite its so soft and comfy. you will find that the quality of the leather makes all the diference, the better the quality the less likely it is to burn your legs. thats not to say that if you buy the most expensive leather you find it will solve the problem of leg burning but it helps.

i would stay away from vinyl. when i think of vinyl i think of cheap ass base model truck seats that looks nasty and feels nasty. i promise you wont be happy with vinyl

Look real nice... how much do they weigh with the custom leather? I'm guessing probably as much as stock...

Much less than stock...the stockers are pretty heavy...I'd say each seat was about 15lbs lighter.
