Here's how my day went. I'm browsing craigslist, and I find this ad...

matco tool cart - $10
mint condition
on wheels
drawer underneath

I can't go wrong, right? I call the guy, and he is only a 5 minute drive. I grab a $10 spot and am out the door. Here's what I brought home...

Maybe a little false advertisement. It was a guy in his 50s or so, and he was saying he is done wrenching for good since a stroke last year, and is cleaning things up. He starts showing me other things he wants to sell, so I follow. He says, "How about a torque wrench, $50 a piece, or both for $75?"

:) HELL YEAH!!! He keeps digging through stuff I don't need, when I see another red snap on box, and ask about it. He says, "Oh, that compression tester? $25, and it yours."

:)

After giving the man $110 total, he says, "Here, take these damn bolts, I'm just gonna throw them away if you don't." Can't say no to that. I thought he was gonna grab a bag for the bolts, but no, gave me the metal case as well.

So I'm home then, and I check my email. I got a response about another craigslist ad I saw the prior night. I grabbed $400, jumped in the cobra headed for Jacksonville, and picked up these bad boys...

Other than the slight stain, which will probably come out, and the stitching for the recaro logo on the stained seat being a little lose, they look brand new! I tested them in my garage for a couple minutes and they feel great.

I'm one happy man right now!

heck yeah!!! I love when things come together like that. Old, experienced tools and cases are kool too! Love those seats, wouldnt mind gettin a set like that one day, bet they are pretty comfortable too.

Nice grab. you can never have too many tools in my book. The recaro's are in great shape, nice seats. I did the same thing when I bought my flofits. I bagged the stock seats and stored them. I may one day recover them and put them back in who knows, but I would probally me upset years later for selling them.
