Around January I plan on getting a few new things for the Stang with Christmas money and my income tax check. I'm getting Cobra headlights and a new shifter mainly. I have a couple questions.

Do I want...
Clear Cobra headlights with the black housing $230
Or
Clear Cobra headlights without the black housing $200

What is this housing they're talking about?

And...
Should I get a Tri-Ax or Pro 5.0 shifter?

I have a 95' GT.

Nasty headlights ^^^^

I say get the black housings since you have a black car.

There are a bunch of headlight/corner sets on ebay for ~$130 shipped that are just like that. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7928730973&category=33710

I dont think you can go wrong with the Triax or the Pro50. I have the Triax and have been extremely happy. Get whichever one is cheaper, imo.

Heh, I need an ebay account but I don't think my mom would let me use her credit card or whatever on there. I don't really like those ones on the link you sent. I'll probably get the ones with the housing. You do have a point. I found out the housing is like the background color inside. I'm gonna look up some info on those shifters.

You can always use a money order also. I wouldnt spend more than $130 for the set to be honest. I paid $98 for mine + $15 for the corners. They arent the smoked style, but I dont think its worth $100 over the clear style. Do a search for headlights or shifter and you'll get a ton of threads on both your questions.

Heh, even on ebay, the official ford looking ones I want are $150 the cheapest plus shipping, and the ones for $150 dont offer cash refunds, only store credit. **** that. I'll probably just do one big order from Mustangtuning. I've ordered from them before and I trust them. And I know im getting pretty much authentic stuff. Most of the lights on ebay were ugly.

I've got a 95 myself, just put a tri-ax in.. feels much better than stock but if I were to do it again I think I'd go with the Pro 5.0.. not complaining about the Steeda, just would like to try something else I guess..
and I agree with the rest about the headlights.. you can have your mom register for ebay and just pay via money order, no credit card involved.. these are the headlights I'm thinking about:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7920335970&category=33710
or smoked possibly:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7929283717&category=33710

and heres a lot of other cheaper headlights for you to pick from lol

Hehe, I've looked through most of those. I really like the official Ford looking ones, but they come to like $180 after shipping, and Ive never even heard of the company who's selling them. As for the shifter, I'll probably try a Tri-Ax. We'll see what I find in the next couple months. Hehe what feels different from stock?

BAD ADVICE
Are you guys on crack telling someone to use a money order to buy something off ebay. If you use a moneyorder you will get ripped off. It has been all over the news the past 6 days about people getting ripped off and the mangment at ebay have issued a warning about paying with moneyorders.

Pay with paypal or a credit card so you can track where the payment goes.

As long as the seller is legitimate I dont see the harm. Of course paypal is the way to go, but there is no 100% safe way unless you pick it up in person.

MGW just came out with a pretty trick shifter, it is different than all others on the market. I know NOTHING about it other than what it looks like though. I ran a pro 5.0 on my T5 and now I run a steeda tri-ax on my TKO. I LOVED the pro 5.0... the steeda I can't give a fair evaluation vecause of problems with the tranny itself. I will say I very rarely miss 3rd, 2nd on the other hand is a different story...

Heh, I'll probably end up getting the Pro 5.0 unless I find a good price on a Tri-Ax. Would it run well with my stock tranny?
