New speedo gear

k i got a new speedo gear for my car and was just wondering if anyone has any links on how to install it.

also i was wondering about that vss ( vehicle speed sensor ) where it is in the tranny, if i can remove it, and how to go about removing it.

any help would be awesome

Not sure why u wanna remove the VSS but its on the drivers side of the tranny. Get under there and you will see.

The gear is simple. There is a bracket that holds it in with one bolt. Take that out and you well have the gear in your hand. Its only so many things under there...ya cant miss it.

The VSS is an electrical sensor that is held in place by a bolt. IIRC, you have to take that out to get to the speedo gear. Simply pull the plug, remove the bolt, pull the gear out, and put it all back together, oh and try not to burn the crap outta your hands/arms/face on the exhaust, lol. 5 minute job. Driver side, near the tail end of the tranny IIRC.
