New steering wheel.......need help!!!

guys I'm trying to junk my el' cheapo Grant wheel for a 85 GT(I think) 3 spoke wheel. When I took off the Grant and went to mount the new one in my 86 I noticed a couple of things.

#1 One being the bolt was obviously too short for the new wheel. Anyone know proper bolt dimensions?

#2 When placing the new wheel on the "hub" there is a huge gap bewteen the wheel and the remaining column trim. What am I missing?

This hub came off behing the Grant wheel is this stock?

well the cold must be getting to me! I was dumb and didnt realize that the other hub seen in the photo needed to come off. I thought it was a fcatory part.
