New stock 89 GT - first mods?

89 GT convertible. All stock except for BBK cold air intake (even rims are stock). 10K miles.

What are the next recommended mods for a not-so-technical enthusiast? We did a complete tune-up and the car runs fantastic. Not trying to get into tearing the motor apart, although this may be my only option for next mods. I hear that gears should be next, and I know I should get come flowmaster mufflers. Any ideas?

You scored '89 GT vert with 10K on it? Congrats! You will notice a lot with gears, full exhaust (although cat-back will sound and perform nice as well), pulleys, intake mainfold.

Dad's car is the hatchback with 18K miles on it... It's an auto though
