[email protected] 60ft Not too bad for 2v w/ 136,000 miles on a stock engine.:D I did do a few mods to the car, Removed the rear & passenger seat, emptied out the trunk, ran M/T E/T streets(still on stock rear-end/gears) and my brother drove the car. He said he was launching the car around 2800-3000rpm not too hard. The car still has the stock rear shocks, control arms, and quad shocks on it, never have been replaced. Only mod to the rear suspension has been the install of steeda lowering springs. Looking to replace all of that this summer along with the ignition system. My quest for the 10s on the stock engine is going to happen soon and Im happy to see the SOHC 4.6 can hang with 03-04 cobras, GT 500s and the new 5.0 w/o having to remove the valve covers:nice: BTW did very well in the 5speed/6speed shoot out, a 2011 took the gold running 10.50s with full drag suspension, slicks, gutted interior, built rearend and a big shot of N02. Brother and I placed 5th out of 16 in the field, 1st-4th were all 10sec cars. Pics and video coming soon:flag:

Nice times. It is going to be a race between your engine blowing up and you getting in the 10's. I hope you get the time you want and not the rod through the block. :nice: :D :p

Thats great man! Congrats! You really don't need much more power or weight loss to run 10's as it is. 122 mph is good to run 10's with a good hard launch and a low 1.5x 60' or so.

Good luck on the 10 second pass with the stock longblock! It is a goal I am also hoping to achieve eventually.

Slow 2v!!! Just kidding. Nice times! What is the fastest stock motor boosted 2v????

I read somewhere it was 10.7 or something. Im gunning to break that.:nice: Im more worried about breaking the trans b/f I blow the engine. Spec stage 3+ clutch plus built rear end = toasted t45:shrug:

I love your simple combo. It makes me want to slap a turbo on my 185k mile shortblock.

So tell me about your turbo setup. Did you buy separate pieces and weld everything up on your own or buy a kit from someone? Stock k-member?

Long live the 2V :nice:

I would say the 2Vs are pretty stout lil suckers. I havent seen too many nasty 2vs probably cause most upgrade to a 4v instead of sticking it out lol. Cobras arent gonna be all that much faster in the fact that they have a couple hundred pounds on us :D

with me in the car it still weighs less than a termi hangin out without a driver lol

I've been looking into that, working on getting a cage or roll bar installed.

It's not a bad idea. I wouldn't do it at 120-125mph, except that you have a vert. That is really crazy fast IMO without one.

Just an FYI, I know you and your brother have the scoop on 2v stuff. Go with a cage that has removable side bars. I can drive mine across the country, date nights, etc and you wouldn't even know it has a 6 point roll bar in it unless you look behind you. It has no impact on daily driving or getting in and out of the car.
