well before the converter and the nitto 555 r's and the new tranny my best n/a time was a 15.2, now friday i went to the track and was suprised by what happend. heres my first timeslip
r/t: .346
60': 1.944
330: 5.969
1/8: 9.375
mph: 71.93
1/4: 14.779
mph: 89.54

I was amazed my my 60' time, but i dont know what happend it seemed to bog down that run and i pulled a 14.7 at 89!!!!! that was the ONLY time i had traction, and that run i had it stalled at 2400 rpm, tires at 18 psi and heated them up real nice.....Second run my car wouldnt do a burnout, it just stalled and stalled and then broke the tires loose and it sounded like i broke an axle or something weird. Then on my launch i launched from 2400 again and had no traction at all and had a 2.6 60' and ran a 15.75 at 89 mph..( i broke them loose shifting into second at went nowhere for a minnute) i think i got a bad set of nitto d/r's or something because the next 3 runs just got worse, including 3+ second 60' times...It was unreal how bad traction was, i know my suspension is hurting it because the front is lowered and i didnt get the back done yet, but still i should have been able to do better than that...Also after the torque converter install, the car idles rough and stalls alot at ide, is that normal?

well it wasnt all it was cracked up to be, but launching from a stall is real fast, but i dont like how i dont go anywhere untill im around 3 grand....oh well...i melted through a plug wire so maybe i was misfiring or something, im going to get a cobra intake and that should help out my top end.

no chip, and this morning i noticed something...My shift points are off and shift at different places different times...occasionaly i'll hit the rev limiter, and today i was shifting at 4,800 rpm all day. im guessing that thats my problem, because at the track i wasnt paying attention to my tach and i couldnt say what i was shifting at then...Im going to get a tune w/ nitrous and get those shift points changed and see what that does for me.

i know the thing is though that was the only real 60 foot time i got, every other launch i blew and just spun and spun beyond belief...overrated 555r's.....i think its capable of low low 14's

Yea i would say high 13's to low 14's depending on weather if you had a chip to get those shift points where they should be. Also from what i've herd those 555r's are kinda tricky and you got to play with them alot to get a feel of them.

you need to try FLASHINg the stall, not foot braking.

and nittos arent that good, its more how well the track is prepped.

I'll cut 1.7s 1.8s and then another day the track will be s h i t and i will be in the 2.0s and sideways all through 1st launching the same if not softer
