What kind of tires do you guys recommend for a good all season tire? I need to be able to drive in both dry and wet conditions. Also, I don't normally drive the car in snow, but if I get caught in it, I need a tire that will at least do decently to get me home. Thanks

Tires

I just got a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. These tires are truly awesome, wet and dry. Pricey but worth every cent!

I just got a set of BRGoodrich KDWS, they are awsome in rain and dry traction, I have yet to try them in snow. I got them for $130/peice. I am very please with them, they are also very quiet and have really good dry traction.

I used the BFGoodrich G-Force KDWS on my F-Bodies and will be using them on my GT when it needs them.

The 400 treadwear is a bit overated but they are a great tire with enough bite for my 2000 SS.

Try TireRack.com -- they will drop ship and they have installers in most cities.

Try Continental Extreme Contact

Ultra-high performance all-season. Z-speed rated.

Currently priced from 132.00, but I bought mine earlier in the year at 108.00 each.. Read the reviews..

EDIT: I actually bought mine on-line from tirerack.com.. they are priced @ 118.00 each.. Read the reviews..

Another tire you might want to look into are the Toyo Proxes 4's. I have them all around and love the way the grip and the looks are pretty mean, too. They are M+S all season, AA Traction, A Temperature and 300 Treadwear. The best part is I got them for $109 a piece at the local tire shop.

I have the Sumitomo HTR+'s they work really well both in wet and dry conditions although I did have them show signs of hydroplane at about 65+mph in a torrential downpour.they are/were on sale for $99 ea at tire rack

I am at the same point. I bought the car and it had brand new Michelin Pilot XGT Z4's on it. They are like 180.00 at Tirerack.com. They will make the 35k barrier. That is really good for Mustangs. I do not drive easy as well maybe not lighting them up everyday but off and on. I am however considering the new Kumho ASX. All Season and rated very well across the board and about 100.00 a piece. The Contis Xtremes are rated above them at a little more money. Tirerack is the best. I have been buying form them for 7 yrs. Probably a set a year or more.

try these tires I really like them and have had them on my gt and my cobra. There's a little road noise but grip well. Last time I got some I think they were 118 each for 245/45zr17's

Bridgestone RE-750 on my wife's 01. I cannot believe the technology in these tires. I can hardly spin 'em in the rain in 2nd gear with 4.10s. (And with the stock Goodyears on my 02, I can easily spin, in the rain, with 3.73s, in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th!)

When I had my stock rims, I had Sumitomo HTR+ (all season Z-rated tires) and was very satisfied with them. Drove it on snow all winter last year since it is my daily driver~!! Very inexpensive as well~

another vote for the KDWs. those are the tires i had wanted for my stang, but they were a little too pricey for me. I went w/ the Nittos instead and couldnt be happier. I dont think they would do all too hot in the snow though. They gForce KDWs have a bad ass tread pattern as well
