hello there

i just bought a 1969 mustang with a 351w with a c4 transmission drum brakes in the back n disks in the front. Im no machanic but i want to do some of the work on my own.

I want to know if i can use the brake booster and master cylinder of an 86 foxbody on the 69 ??

I'm sure you can, but not without modifications to the firewall, pedal, tubing, etc. I have never done it myself, but just from experience of trying things like that i've come to learn what to expect. Someone else might write in that has done this before and straighten me out, lol, but thats my .02

yes you can, but there are going to be a few mods you will need to make. you will also need to fabricate a reinforcement plate to strengthen the firewall. check out mustangsteve.com or dazecars.com for more information on power brake booster swaps.

The 69 disc brake Mustang came from the factory with power boost. Is this missing?

You can probably hack, drill, and weld the 86 stuff in there, but since the 69 booster is available new, rebuilt, and used, it seems pointless. Get the right parts.

If you already have it, and it's just not working right, get it rebuilt.

sorry i took a long time.

well i took out the booster out of the 86 n i have to drill new holes like u guys said.

Now another problem that i have is im missing the little piece that connects the drive shaft to the yoke on the rear end. can u guys help me ??

ok this is what i mean i have the yoke but how do i connect it to drive shaft??i heard it gets connected with a univerrsal joint lock?? but when i looked under my 86 it had a flange yoke?? what can i use for this car?
where can i find one ?
