Hi,

I'm happy to have found this site. I'm a motorhead and am weighing my first mustang.

I've found a 2008 GT Premium on my local CL and I'm hesitating on a few points.
88k miles.

1) CarFax shows clean title but no real maintenance done by Dealer or other shops. That's got me hung up.
2) Check charging system light comes on intermittently. Seller says he recently replaced the battery.

Car drove strong and shifted within spec.

We have a deal at 10,500.00

It needs new tires, and whatever can be done to fix the charging system issue.

I did check the SJB and passenger floorboards for wetness and found none apparent.

I'd appreciate any advice you may have.

dont know what kbb is on it, but if you're happy with the price amd like the car, go fir it. Does he have any maintenance records? Hows the interior look? Can usually tell the cars overall state of being by how well the inside was kept.

I wish it was the case but they dont have any service records. Price is ok at Kelly Good value PP.

Interior is good, Drivers side bolster is worn with a small hole. hope to sew it up. everything inside appears to work but pressing the phone button on the Nav system does nothing.

i spoke to a ford service adviser who said he wouldn't buy it without some history on the maintenance. If that's the consensus here as well I'll just pass on it.

after a pretty exhaustive search around the SF bay area and sacramento area i finally found a car within my spec range. 2008 GT Premium, 89k miles. got a great price. I've already got 2400 into new tires, tax title and registration, 90k servicing and new tie rods.

needs rear brakes and rotors and possibly lower ball joints down the road.

this site is a bit wonky. it keeps asking me to login. When i do it shows me logged in and then keeps asking me to login for everything i try to do. was going to post pics. not worth the hassle of the site. i'll try another browser i guess.
