I posted this in the welcome page, but figured I'd throw it up here too.
Hello there. From Evansville, IN. I picked up a 2006 Mustang GT 5 speed about 3 or 4 weeks ago now and thought I'd go through the whole introduction thing. I've came over from the Audi world, so I know my way around the forums. I did have a 2001 Audi S4. I love the car. I just couldn't afford the parts. It handled awesome and did great in the snow. I never got stuck once in the 4 years I owned it. Here are a few pictures of the new ride.
When I first picked it up:

I didn't care for the silver grills, so the first thing I changed, within 4 days, was using some plasti-dip on them.

The car is stock besides Bassani mufflers.

Here's a few of the S, for what it's worth. H&R springs/Bilstein shocks, stage 1 chip, various other mods

lol just to change the altenator:

Welcome to the site.
I have a Audi A5 coupe in my garage to go along with the Shelby.
I love the Audi and I can't wait to get some work done by Stasis.

Welcome!

Looks MUCH nicer with the black grill. Also like the hood. Audi looked like a nice car, too.

Thanks. So far, I'm actually really impressed with the Mustang. The interior is not near as bad as I expected and it handles and rides far better than I expected too. I've been a fan of American v8's, but I miss my turbos. bad lol. At least with this, I can afford to fix things when they go wrong. Parts are soo much cheaper for this. I plan on picking up another S4 eventually and do a rs6/gt/tial build. 450whp on a relatively conservative tune would be an absolute blast to drive.

I don't really have much planned for the GT. Maybe an x-pipe or h-pipe. Open to suggestions. Hurst s/t, and maybe a tune.

Mustang looks great. I love the black grill too. If it has the stock shifter that has to go. Buy a Hurst. Is your windshield tinted?
Audis are great cars but they are expensive to work on. My brother had several, TT now, and they were expensive and tricky to repair.

You can always get a turbo for the stang Hellion Power Systems - The Best Mustang Turbo Kits Available

I would personally suggest a s/t from MGW Mustang Accessories 2005 - 2009 or Steeda.

Generally the basic mods are s/t shifter, CAI, tune, x-pipe and cat-back.

I've always wanted a hurst, so eventually I will get one. I can get a deal on them, so that helps a little too haha. What is the difference in the comp/plus and the billet/plus? and no the windshield isn't tinted except for the black strip across the top. The silver grill seemed too "pep-boys-ish" for me. The turbo kit is a little out of my range for now haha

I loved the Audi and working on it too, but the fact that it was my DD made it a pain in the ass. When working on it, everything is opposite than what you'd expect lol. If you can do the work yourself, it's not terrible. When you have to take it to a shop, that's where they rape you. I did everything I could to do all my work myself. $120 an hour adds up pretty quick.

Thanks! Yours looks good too! We'll be hitting some shows pretty soon and I'm trying to find a weekend it isn't raining for some fun at Chandler.

Thanks. I know there's a handful of people around here that are planning to go to beach bend once it dries out. Some go to Chandler, but you better have a boat if you're planning on going anytime soon haha. There's an Evansville/Henderson forum, TriStateCarz. There's a few mustang guys on there, but they're all car guys. You can get in on the beach bend trip if you want
