I'm on unfamiliar ground here...I just bought an 86 LX hatchback that has been converted to a 302 with c-4 tranny. I am interested in using this car for autocross/road racing and am in need of some advice.
This is what I have:
1985 non-roller b--bored .030 to 306, cleaned and honed, etc., etc.
stock crank--cleaned and ground down .010
The motor and trans are out of the car-gonna switch to a t-5(costly, I know)but I wanna shift my own gears.
This is where I need help and ideas:
I want to get to 350-375 rwhp naturally asp. with holley 4150 carb-650 cfm and some nitrous for playing around with.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreiciated..I haven't bought any parts yet, other than some main bearings and plastigauge for installing the crank, so I am hoping to get a plan together before heating up the ole' wallet if ya know what I mean
I'm really interested in combinations that have already been done and and can be for lack of a better word, done again! with roughly the same results. I don't know anything about cams, heads, or intakes, but I know I need them all to be "big"...
