I was never good at forum intro's, so Ill cut the bull and get straight to it. lol

I own a 1964 1/2 Mustang 289 4bbl (not a K code :( ). Back in 1964 my grandfather ordered the 'Stang straight from the factory when he was stationed in Spain and got the car upon returning state side, came with a his name on a plate on the dash and everything. It turned in to being my mom's first car and my name now has the title on it. :D It is pretty much untouched aside from the wheels and I know the engine was taken apart and freshened up before he passed away 22 years ago, and since then it has been driven less than 3000 or 4000 miles. The lack of driving is due pretty much solely to the drum brakes (on all corners) just sucking. But Im planning on changing all that now. I grew up kinda tinkering with this car and actually just started tearing into it today (yanked the fuel tank out b/c it was filled w/ crap and now have a new one on the way).

I also have a '97 V6 Camaro. I know, most of yall will boo me, but I have a Mustang as well, so Im neutral. lol. It has been the car to fulfill my mod bug since I was 16. Got it on my 16th bday back in 06 w/ 32k on it, unmolested. Put bolt-ons on it, got bored and installed a custom turbo kit on it, an oil line got cut and spewed all the oil out of the engine while driving. Had to sell the turbo kit to rebuild the motor, the shop screwed up my rod honing specs and I spun 4 bearings pretty much instantly, but drove it another 3k miles. lol. Now it has the following:
L26 short block (forged rods)
Abbott Racing Head's Cam
P&P'd intakes/heads
LS6 valve springs
CAI/Headers/3" exhaust
Sam Strano 1.2" lowering springs, Bilstein shocks, 32mm/19mm sway bars, UMI rear LCA's, BMR panhard bar
And I've done a speed density tune on it (prefer it over MAF tuning)
Im sure Im forgetting some things, the list continually grows and eats paychecks. lol.

But enough of this long winded post, here are pics of my 2 babies:

(sorry for crappy 'Stang pics, the lens was dirty :( )

That would be so cool to have a car that was bought by my grandfather. I barely remember him.

Keep that car in the family and mod the crap out of it lol

Oh and BOO u have a camaro lol

Just playin. I like all kinds of cars. Mustangs are my favorite tho

Welcome to stangnet

I never knew either of my grandfathers (both died before I was born), so this thing is all I will ever have from the one. So the car will pretty much stay in stockish form. I forgot that it does have a 2.5" dual exhaust from Heart Throb on it now. lol. If any modding really happens it will just be disc brakes, long tube headers, and new springs since they are still stock and are just worn out. I already race the Camaro at autox events and am hoping to hit a 13.5 in the 1/4, after which I will be adding a 100shot giggle juice and shoot for 12's; so I dont really want another car to race and potentially blow up, just want this to be a nice cruiser and be a 2nd car to take to shows. lol.

And thanks for the welcome!
