Let's see, You figured out how to register, but you can't handle finding the rules and the classified section. Let's skip all the bull and you can just sell me the car. I'll bet you have a transporter and/or can recommend an escrow company that can assist us with this transaction. Don't worry, I'm good for the money, you see an Executive Accountant with the South Africa Department of Mining recently emailed me to request my assistance in transfering $27,000,000 U.S. dollars .......

and who reads the rules #1?
#2, be nicer
#3, long time members have been confused by the trader section

now to answer tomy2tone01's questions.

First, stangnet has a classifieds section uptop, its a button labeled "trader". You just sign in with your stangnet username and password and you can post your car there.

Now if you are using this thread to ask how much you should ask for your car (which is what I think the purpose is and you were saying you couldnt post pictures) just give us some information, and you can also email me the pictures to [email protected] and I will post em up here for you.

65, I think you missed it :D , and I'm with Platonic on this one, sounds like a Scam in the making.

For the two people who think this is scam

I ASKED A SIMPLE QUESTION ON HOW TO POST A CLASSIFIED ON THIS SITE. tHEN i GET SOME SMART A_ _ COMMENTS ON HOW THIS IS A SCAM IN THE MAKING. I DON'T THINK SO. I AM IN A BAD POSITION WITH A BUSINESS I OPENED IN APRIL I WOULDN'T WISH THIS ON ANYBODY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME COME TO MINNESOTA AND SEE THE CAR AND ALL THE PARTS I HAVE TO BUILD THIS CAR. Maybe I’ve become too cynical, but your post does have all the ingredients of a scam.

What’s the VIN of your car?

If you like, I will host pictures for you. Send to [email protected]

I don't think this is a scam guys. If I am right this gentleman and his wife started an auto detailing business in Minnesota and they are having some difficulties and need more cash for the business. He posted about this on VMF a while ago and it seems genuine to me. I disagree with selling the vehicle for some fast cash but that is his decision not mine. All he wants is some value information and some possible exposure. Call him a scammer after you see what he is trying to sell and after you contact him if you are interested. I'm sure there are members in Minnesota that can verify his claim and look at the car for any interested party.

I am sorry that I cannot help you with a value. I consider any project worth minimal money due to all the work that is necessary and the big expenditures like paint are still in the future so I am the wrong person to ask. The best thing to do is list all the brand new parts you have and get some good photos of the car in it's current state showing all the problem areas that still need to be addressed. I'm sure someone will then be able to give you a better idea of worth and potential buyers will have an opportunity to see exactly what you have.

This is how you sell your car:

Call newspaper, place ad.

Get Ebay account, start auction

Go to Stangnets TRADER section on the homepage...post car for sale

Get ad in autotrader

Get ad in classiccar trader

Join VMF and post an ad online there

Corral.net...place ad there

I seriously doubt this is a scam. Since you are new here I will fill you in. Many, Many of us have been plagued with scams to purchase and/or sell vehicles. I get at least one email per day from a scam 'artist' trying to buy something from me. Some of us have also been scammed buy faulty parts sellers, or by sellers that take money and dont send product. Many of us now watch ours - and each others- backs.

Good luck in selling your vehicle.

As unfortunate as his situation seems, everyone selling a car has a similar, or better, story. If everyone selling a Mustang employed these tactics this forum would become even more impotent than it already is. We should not encourage this "value information" tactic unless we want to become SN Classics Classifieds

I would say that if he truly can not figure out the appropriate methods for selling his car his business needs more help than just cash.

I know, I know, I'm a big meany head.

Hey, I'll admit that if I came to this site, I wouldn't think of the Trader tab as being the Classified's page. Cause on ever other site I know of, the call it "Classifieds", I guess THEY"RE all retarded, huh?

But if you look at the rules it would become clear. But I know no ones cares about the rules. :p

4. No Sales
This includes trades, sales, 'wanted' requests. Please refrain from posting any of these on the forums. All sales should be direct to StangNet's FREE Classified service http://trader.stangnet.com

Okay, I just logged out and got onto StangNet and looked at the site from the eyes of a noob.

I didn't change my darkmoon to the bluemoon though, but I couldn't find the "Rules" button from which you quoteth.

I went to the FAQ which is where I would have thought it would have been, but didn't find it. You also have to realize that lots of sites use Vbulletin for their forums, so chances are, most people coming here already are familiar with the way the site works.

All I'm saying is, we ought to give a noob the benfit of the doubt before jumping down their throat on the deal. Yeah, about 1/2 the time it's obvious that they're only trying to pawn off their car. He did say he tried to post it and couldn't figure it out. Obviously he figured out how to post here, so me-thinks he must be saying he couldn't figure out how to post on the Trader/classifieds. Now if what I'm saying is true, I think Worth and Platonic owe the dude a serious apology.

exactly, if everyone jumped down every newbies throat for some reason that ISNT for sure, then there would be barely anyone owning classic stangs because everyone would be scared to ask for help.

OK, do this.
1. Log out
2. Go to Stangnet.com (as a newbie would do)
3. Click on Forum tab (as a newbie would do)
4. Click on Register (as a newbie would do)

The FIRST thing you encounter are THE RULES. Since he just registered this month (probably just prior to this thread) I would imagine he knew the rules, or at least HE SHOULD HAVE. Should we reward people who disregard the rules so that their needs are met?
