New top + paint job question?

tape and paper( and no...not computer paper)...

we used an old blanket when we did my dads 86 and put paper over that and taped it off.....

maaco doesnt seem to mind painting over the moldings and they make tons of money. besides if the top/frame was removed then you would only have one flat area to cover and not all the nooks and crannies that would be present if it were on.
anywho, strype does have a point, if the shop causes overspray they will be held liable to fix it.
