Very nice. I've been looking at the 450 and the new Raptor. I'm partial to the Honda 450R. Haven't decided which way to go yet. If I could find another LT500 I may pick that up. But, I want to be able to ride the dunes and the trails.

Where do you normally ride. Browns Camp or Sandlake, Winchester or Coos Bay?

sandlake, windchester bay and I live on 5 acres out here so I get plenty of seat time.. I allmost went with the honda because the suspension was supposed to be softer, but on the 06 Yfz's they added an extra inch of padding on the seat, gave it a longer softer travel rear suspension than the 04s and 05's... a couple of my friends have 05's and theres a world of difference between them and my 06. 06's also get a longer stroke engine that actually displaces 449cc's... so in otherwords its actually close to the 450 thisyear lol

how tall are you? I'm a bigger guy 6'3" 205lbs... the yfz fits me pretty well... the honda just felt a little different, maybe a little cramped?

Cool.

I've been reading quite a bit on the new models. Yamaha made some improvements. I like both 450 and the 700. Both are very tempting.

I've ridden a TRX450R with the HRC power up kit. I really liked the power. The suspension seemed reasonably smooth in the dunes. The Honda fits me pretty well.

I just got a call from a buddy. A couple of his friends just picked up sandrails. One has a 450hp turbocharged Northstar V8 and the other has a 400hp turbocharged motorcycle engine. Our next get together is in October. The V8 is a five seater and the other is a single seater. Should be a blast.

I’m not sure I’ll have my new quad by then. These guys let me mooch off of them. I should have a 75hp Banshee or an old school TRX250 to ride.

nice, what all did you polish? I think I'm gonna go with a blue or green highlight theme on my bike, get some anodized stuff just to kinda breakup all the silver and white. I love mine, I'm still breaking it in... going to sand lake thisweekend. I went with the itp sandstars and c series wheels, the wheels look cool and are strong as hell and I like that the paddles are 1 piece instead of bonded... seen too many haulers fall appart on people but yea like duner suggested we should get a group of stangers to get together and go down to sandlake for the weekend... just lemme know ahead of time so I can get that saturday off, and put a trailer hitch on the gt
