Gotta go out to do some "car shopping" with Tink's little sister (God Help Us All!); but when I get back, I'll pass your question along to SVTCobra306. His Dad is an AMX nut; and aparently AJ's next project (after he's done with his '94 Cobra and Tink's '96 GT) is to tear into a '70 AMX that his Dad has passed along to him.

Also google amxfiles.com and planet Houston AMX, NAMDRA (National American Motors Drag Racing Association), and Performance American Style. Great places for info and parts..

The 69 390 4 speed is a desirable car and worth money, restore it right, don't destroy it! And check to be sure it isn't an SS/AMX..

My AMX is actually a 72 Javelin AMX, My Dad has a 70 Javelin Mark Donohue special....

Whoops, my bad. Jessie was pestering me to get going ("You can type that later! Let's go look at cars, Daaaaa-aaaaaddyyyyy!").... something like Trish wanting to make another run on the Quarter. She decidedly wasn't interested for me to "look it up" and get the correct age and model on your "old car".
