New U-joints too short

I got some u-joints from Advance to put on the T5 driveshaft that I'll be using once I install my T5 that I've just rebuilt and the u-joints are way too small to be used. They were 1-0153's which is what they should be from what I can tell. So I got curious and looked up u-joints for a 92 LX with a 5.0 and 2-4800 u-joints came up as an option. I took some measurements and I'm pretty sure the 2-4800 is what I need (about a half inch longer each way). Has anyone else run into this?

The driveshaft and tranny all came from a junkyard 2.3. The tranny is def. a 2.3 T5 as the input shaft and bellhousing are the 2.3 design. Seems odd to me.

Exactly. My yoke had the damper too (which I promptly removed, damn extra rotating mass). So I suppose that means it MUST be a 2.3 driveshaft. Oh well. Somebody on the assembly line must've been drinking on the job or something.

I took my air sawzall and cut into the rubber around the very edge. I did this on both sides and then took a prybar and ripped the outer donut off. Then I just cleaned up the rubber with my airsaw and a wire wheel.
