New Voltage Regulator - HELP!!!!!!

can anyone give me a diagram to wire a 68....i just put in a new alternator and am adding a solid state voltage regulator...apparently i didnt even have one before...and i just had a "RELAY" i guess, looked like a cube with some terminals coming out of it....i dont really get all this electrical stuff now....so confused...

bottom line....there is 4 female wires and 4 male terminals on the voltage regulator....i need to know which terminals the 4 wires plug into.....

1 Blue Wire coming from electric choke thing on carb...going to ground.

1 Red Wire coming from electric choke thing to....???

1 Blue Wire coming from left side of the Solenoid to.....???

and the 4th one i think is supposed to go from the voltage regulator to ground on the firewall.

could i just play some guess and check??? (plug in the wires until everything works???)

ok...after looking at a million pics of the VR being on the passenger side under the solenoid, i found out out its on the driver side under the overflow tank....wow....i was done in 5 minutes once i figured that out....
