just got it back, I think the front too low. the guy said the stock boots won't work with these coils (eibach sportlines) so there are none. maybe thats why too low?

love the wheels, just gotta figure out something for the ride height now.

What does he mean that the stock boots will not work.I used everything that was stock when i went to the Sportlines.HUMMMM!
Looks sweet though. My GT did the same, they lowered the front a lot. What i did because i got sick and tired of scraping everyhting in sight,i put two iscolator pads on top of each front coil. Now my GT sits level.Went from "barely" fitting one finger in between the top of the front tires and fender opening to two loosely fit fingers.Just an idea for you.
Did you keep the stock struts, and did you get C&C plates?
If you kept the stock struts, make sure you replace them with Foxbody struts, now that you are "slammed",you will damage the stock struts, and the strut tower. There will be very little travel left in the strut, and you will end up bottoming them out all the time. The Foxbody strut has a shorter strut shaft, and will give you that travel back.
Anyways,looks awesome. :nice:

SLAMMED! WOOT!

In your before pics, did you have the engine pulled??? That thing was riding HIGH!

thats a very recent pic, I had the engine back in somewhere around august.... yes it did seem abnormally high!!

the front end looks too low, not to mention it will be a PITA to get it aligned correctly

definately too low, about one loose finger between tire and fender. wish I researched the eibach sportlines before I had them put in. I will be swapping them for roush I think.

he said it would just move around and eventually fall out of place or something. thanks for the foxbody strut tip!!

:rlaugh: MM plates and 18mm cam bolts will fix it right up. you're looking at about $400 unless you have a connection though.

ok, should have researched more b4 doing this, but I didn't, so now I have to fix this because it is too low IMO, I dont think these crappy pics really show quite how low the front is.

so mm plates, and I'm going with the ford "c" springs I think due to my way too low budget to do this.

do I really need these 18 mm cam bolts?

Go with the FRPP "C" Springs. That's what I chose, and I love them! I don't bottom out anywhere or scrape when going over speed bumps, and the car aligned fine with those Maximum Motorsports Caster/Camber plates (I bought them just in case, so I don't know if it would have aligned without them).

You will not need those cam bolts if you go with the "C" Springs, but from the looks of it, you might if you keep the springs you have.

why is that too low??

I went from this:

to this, with Hotckis CC plates and the stock struts. All is aligned and rides and drives fine :nice: Too low is personal preference :D

Let me clarify my "too low" comment by stating that his front is too low compared to the rear, making it look like the engine weighs 1,000 lbs. Cars like yours do not look "too low" because they are consistent front-to-rear.

I just picked up some steeda sport springs, which, going by a chart someone posted up that I found on a search in an older thread, have the same rate as these "c" springs, so that should drop the rear and raise the front a bit.

I also snagged a set of the mm plates off ebay new for $189 shipped, so hopefully in a week or so I should be all set.

won't be driving it for a while I guess. hit the road a few times, and its so bouncy I cant even keep a nuetral throttle from bounce around so much, which makes it even more dam bouncy!! ugh  :D
