hello everyone. my first question is sorta a series and it is i have an 88 mustang 2.3l that i want to convert to a v-8 but not a 5.0 i want to install my rebuilt 69' 351windsor it it. my main ? is what needs to be done to convert tis i have been looking in 4cyl swap and 5.0 to 5.8 swaps and have became confused. i will be running efi, mass air, 5spd, 4 wheel disc with 5 lug conversion, no a/c. i have the 5.8l efi motor hardware like brackets intake injectors etc. i am also insatlling a 8.8 rear end. thanks for any information provided BRAD :nice:

You need to get all the wiring from a V8.
If i was you i would consider ditching the EFI and running it with a carb.. cus wiring can get nasty! not that i've ever done it on a fox.. but trust me wires suck!
i agree 351 carb stay at the grass roots at least

what all would i need to do to run a carb because it has a carb manifold on it now. can i gut the whole cpu if i go to a carb? also what carb would be recomended (cfm) its a [ ] bore manifold. i have heard of an edelbrock efi intake that fits on the 5.8l lower is this true and which one? i have acces to a pleathore of 5.0 parts i just wanted MORE POWER and got the 69 351 for free from rebuilding. thanks again and i will check out that sticky! BRAD

If its already carb, it'll be easy to start carb. Going efi you would have to track down fuel rails, buy injectors, along with MAF, Throttle body and the intake. Going carb basically entails taking out a lot of the wiring harness and changing fuel pumps. I'm sure there is more to it, but its' easier than going efi, run a search for efi to carb conversion.
