Hi everyone...
I've got a 92 GT that was extremely tired-needs floor plan replacements from where the previous owner jacked it up under the seats (so that's why it got wet whenever I drove in the rain) and the motor with 225,000 on it had not given up, but wasn't far from it. So I got the crazy idea to rebuild it from top to bottom for sentimental reasons (as opposed to going out and buying a new one). I've put some serious thought into it, and have decided that I want to build something that Ford could have built back in the day (similar to a Cobra, with a little more umph if I can get it). What is the largest motor that the stock computer system will run? I've heard some guys say a 351 but that doesn't sound right. I've got the thing completely torn down in the basement with the exception of pulling the motor which should be happening this weekend. I'm not into racing-someone will always be faster or have more money to spend-I want it to idle, run, and pull, as if Ford had actually built one. Any help or guidance is appreciated. Thanks
