Hey everyone. Been lurking around the forums for a few months now gathering some info, great site! I see there are a lot of knowledgeable folks on here. I've been wanting an 87-93 Mustang ever since they first caught my eye back in the early 90's. Specifically, I've always loved the look of the coupe.
A few months ago I finally ran across a deal I couldn't refuse on a severely beat up 1990 hatchback 5.0 5spd. It was sitting in a guys backyard. It hadn't run in a couple years, weeds were growing up around it, flat tires, interior pretty much gutted, exterior looked like it had just re-entered the atmosphere from orbit. After a new fuel tank, fuel pump, and battery I was burning up the road.
Last week I ran across another deal I couldn't refuse. A 1988 coupe in excellent shape but without motor/trans. My dream car. Original 5.0 5spd car that the previous owner had blown the engine in. He pulled the engine with the intention of dropping an LS1 in it but lost interest.
I think anyone reading this already knows what my plan is. I've already done so much research on differences between wiring harnesses on different years that my head is spinning. I've managed to go from thinking I had it all figured out at one point to not knowing where to begin. Thanks for reading my long-winded intro and I look forward to jumping into the forums and sticking around. I also look forward to getting this '88 coupe on the road and plan on keeping it for a long long time!
