I have a friend who seems to live on the VW Vortex forums and said I should find a mustang forum. This one rocks. I thought I would take advantage of it to get some opions. I have been out of school for just over two years and recently finished paying of my truck and motorcyce and have been shopping for a car for almost a year. I have driven eveything priced from 25k to 35k and the 2005 mustang GT kicks all their ***.
I was hoping to get an opinion on an interior color choice. I am looking to order a GT premium, manual (only way to go),black exterior, IUP, shaker 1000, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags and possibly stripes. Interior Color? I have seen the drak charcoal, but not the light charcoal. Anyone seen the light charcoal? Seen dark and/or light in a black one? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I don't plan to order till March or April, so hopefully I will see both before but suggestions/opions are greatly appreciated.

Right now I think a favorite is the Red Leather interior, which is beautiful. http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/wallpaper/05/

In my opinion, the only thing that goes with black exterior is black, dark charcoal interior. Gray just looks like you want something that doesn't show the dirt, like if you hhave children that are always getting in the car with muddy shoes and vomiting, or something. But it just always looks dirty.

Generally, lighter colors are better for the interior because they provide a contrast to the dash board and console. White vinyl would be awesome. But medium parchment only looks good with British Racing Green, which Mustang doesn't offer.
So you're stuck with black or red. Black goes with black.

I suppose if you want a "rare" 05 order the red interior. This month (December) Ford has cut production of the red interior in HALF.

Sounds like it isn't very popular with the customers.

Well, with Red interiors now only 5% of Mustang production, Ford will probably drop the red interior for the 2006 model year.

the red looks pretty good in the black, but I would go with the dark graphite (black) interior

Thanks for the opinions. I was at the local dealer and found a light charcoal interior. I have decided black with dark charcoal interior it will be.
