I'm new to this site, but so far I've gotten a lot of help just from reading the posts.
I have an 88 2.3, and I need to do alot-o-work to get it where I want it.
It's in good shape, but as you know a factory 2.3 is slow.
My speciality is sound systems, but it's time to change majors.
From what I gather a Thunderbird 2.3 turbo is the same motor as mine minus the turbo, intercooler, ect... is this right?
Say I find a junker t-bird how difficult is the mustang upgrade?

Thanx

The motors bolt right in...and since you are good with sounds systems/soldering (guess) swapping the computer shouldn't be hard at all either. It's in the kick panel by the passengers right foot if you want to look at it. I'll send you a link to the LA3 conversion but I'd practice with a junkyard car to get it right.

The pins are numbered on the computer when you pull it out, they are kind of hard to see but it goes 1st row 1-20, 2nd row 21-40, third row 41-60.
