currently gt40p heads with 1.94s and stock 1.6 rockers.
I bought an engine with the 1.72 cobra rockers, and an e303 cam

I have a ported E7s with 1.84/1.6 valves

overall Im just trying to figure out what I should do.

I have a set of headers I can use with the E7s
and Ive been told the P heads with the 1.72 and the 1.94 valve destroy valves and pistons.

rockers- stock 1.6 or cobra 1.72 rr
heads- E7s ported with 1.84/1.6 or GT40Ps with 1.94/1.6
cams stock HO or E303 or grind matching the original cobras?

What should I use as my next combination?

mainy street, I take it to autocross every now and then(5 times a season)

Who in the world told you P heads destroyed pistons? You cant go by what someone said. Only clay will tell you if you have clearance. I know of several ppl running the P heads with 1.7RR with no clearance issues. Im running P heads now, and will be switching over 1.7's in the near future, but remember to be sure you must clay the piston.

Ok, REVIVE

which heads should I pick up from the yard, GT40s or GT40Ps?
these heads will get 1.94s and 1.60s
with all the previous stuff.

I have a good set of equal shortys for the gt40s, and the P headers are a little more restrictive than stock.

Suggestions?

You have 2 sets of heads now?
Sell them both and buy the TW's that are on sale at summit for 999.

hahah, Im pulling a set from the yard tomorrow.
the P heads I currently have are on the mustang still, and I need running for the time being. But I need a set of heads so I can run it on the simtester at work
Just like this one from 6 months ago but I just would rather like some input, would the bigger valves benefit more the 40s or the Ps, and with the headers, the P headers I have are slightly more restrictive than stock, and the other headers I have work great. and I have the header ceramic at the shop
