off topic...what do you guys think about this as a DD

1985 merkur xr4ti , 5 speed ( has a t-5 swap)with centerforce clutch, t-3, e-6 manifold, custom fmic setup using a tc intercooler and a rfl blow off valve , manual boost controller, can be set from 5 psi - to 30 psi, a true 3 inch turbo-back exhaust, with a high flow muffler going into dual tail pipes... car has 105 k miles on it...

has new boost gauge, white face gauges, brakes, exhaust , and cant forget the air/fuel ratio dancing light gauge.....

rust free car ! could use a paint job to freshen it up but no peeling.....

ive been thinking long and hard about it to buy as a DD and my dad said he would help me out and loan me 1,500 to buy it as long as i pay him back ( which i would ) im guessing its around 300 whp in a 2200 lb car so im sure its a quick lil focker but im not sure if i want to spend 2k on a daily drive? but if i buy it paint for the stang would be put of for another year. i dont know what i wanna do :sad:

you don't need 2 cars, put money into your current car. **** I can't even justify a bike at this point although this FZR1000 has really been catching my eye lately. Think 145 hp on 500lbs :D

because thats need aint it. :) my dads the one that suggested me getting a 2nd car as a beater DD..i know if i got that car though with it being a 5 speed and turboed i would find myself beating the living crap out of it on the weekends and after someone pissed me off just cuz i could.
 
WTF? your dad won't let you put a five speed in your stang but he'll let you buy a merk with a t5 that could probably comfortably run 14 lb's of boost? where the hell is the logic in that.

it was the fact that it would be my only car...he said if i buy a beater i can go 5 speed in the stang :rlaugh:

oh and he dont know how much boost it truely has..i just told him 9lbs ( it can be set. ) i told him it was stock besides an exhasut and gauges.

the car has an esslinger cam, polished head,ported intakes, gutted e-6 manifold, t3/4 hybrid, custom front mount intercooler,t-5 swap,full 3 inch exhaust,turbo xs manual boost controller,rapido 42 injectors and a chipped la3

WTF - you are sooo all over the place and your father seems to be the source of half of it! First, you aren't allowed to have a 5.0. Then you can't have a stick, now you are talking about getting 300 whp in a 2200 lb car as a DD?

the xr4ti doesnt look that light... Dont they come stock witht he svo engine?
