The pump was installed with a good gasket Fel-Pro to timing cover. Little bit of ultra grey around the water ports. It was torqued down to spec. Then torqued to GootenTite spec. after finbding leak. It looked as though the gasket that comes with the water pump (between pump & back plate) was weeping. Like the paper was wicking out the coolant. I ended up getting a different water pump, and I got 2 new Fel-pro gaskets, one for pump to timing cover, and one for pump to pump plate. I used some Permetex thermostat/ water pump sealant to seal gasket on the pump itself, ands to seal pump to timing cover. As of now I have fixed that leak.
