How bad would I win/lose? Curious. Dont really know to much about the new imports and a buddy has one and says he would beat me. I have a auto 2003 gt full exhaust (bassani mid and cb), and a predator tune. His has CAI and is stick.

Without gears the auto will definately lose. Definitely. Get 4.10s and you'll have him from the line but he'll still pull on you slightly once your going (especially when you reach 3rd).

Unless hes a terrible driver, dont bother racing without changing gears in your auto. 3.27s badly hamper performance. 4.10s and an XCAL2 should be your next mods.

FYI: Full exhaust to me means headers too. No big deal.

i was gonna say u would win cause i thought u had longtubes too but na i think u will get walked on especially if its the newer one.

if its the 03 model and u get some 4.10s it will be a good race and then get u some longtubes on top of that and u got a race for the newer one.

Yeah, the shop I deal with said that 4.10's will really wake an auto up. He also told me to probably just skip headers since I have an auto tranny too and there aren't many quality fitting headers for autos.

I don't have any real experience racing Z's but I know they weigh about a hundred pounds more.

The exhaust will help you up top, but down low is where u r lacking. The z can rev up to 3k+ rpms and leave hard off the line, whereas your stock converter/gears are holding you back. Throw in a 3400 stall/4:10s/DR's and smoke him every time. As it stands now, Ill give to the z by a large margin...at least 4-5 cars to 105mph.

hmm, never raced the newest Z's. The early 2000's Z's haven't really impressed me in a heads up

The few Ive seen at the track ran low to mid 14s. Ive beat a couple with the same mods you have(before I had plenum, gears, control arms)

a hundred pounds more than what?

350Z coupes weigh around 3250-3300 lbs, 100lbs less than a Mustang

a new 350z weighs anywhere from 3580 to 3600. but since he didnt specify which year it is, hard to say how much they weigh.

I beat a 240ZX turbo with my stock gears. I didn't win by much but I was walking away the whole time. I would have killed him now that I have 3.73s.

It has been rumored that the 07+ 350z run mid to low 13's. I sell these for a living and I can tell a difference between the new one and the older models....good luck

the z's from 03 up have 287 hp, and the ones called the "track" model
have 300 hp unmodified, with a 6 speed they have to be fast, and
those guy's like to mod just like us.

I raced a friends Z in high school, it was an 03 ( Im pretty sure it was a track money since he never bought anything but high end things). I belive he had exhaust intake and a chip. My dodge was running a 14.6 at the time and i beat him by half a car length if that helps.
