nitrous backfire now car surges !!!!please help!!!!!

I own a 1998 Mustang GT IT has a 331 stroker in it but anyways i hit the 75hp shot and it backfired the car starts but it acts like its not getting any gas unless you stick it to the floor then it revs up the car is surging what did i do is it serious and what steps do i need to do to fix it please email me at jholland69@aol.com and let me know thanks

Sounds like a vacuum leak. I would check all the hoses and fitting going into and out of your intake tube. Hopefully for you all it did was blow a hose off the intake. I had that happen once last year as well. It blew all of the vacuum lines off of the intake tube and plenum!

i hope so to if that isnt it what else could it be i was told it may be a bent valve im hoping thats not true

It might have damaged your maf sensor when it back fired.

unplug the maf and see if the idle improves
