Im htinking about going w/ nitrous instead of headswap. After looking in the catalog Compucar has a kit for 4.6 for only $450 It is adjustable from 75,90,125. And then NOS has there 15o shot for $650. Which will be better. Is the NOS kit really worth an extra $200? What else do i need for nitrous other than a bottle warmer and purge kit?

in a couple words, a lot...
ummm, remote opener is nice, all the hoses, and wiring, solenoids, etc. i would go with the NOS kit, it is VEY complete, and a nice kit to boot, not too bad pricewise, you may be able to find it cheaper

So is the compucar kit not complete! I remember a few months ago in mm&ff they put a NOS kit part#5171 on a 96-98 gt and they said it was pretty straight forward! How much did you pay for your kit? And do you have any pic of the installmotor, and bottle?

A WOT switch, RPM window switch, fuel pressure saftey switch, and a nitrous pressure gauge are important.

What size shot are you planning?

BTW RacerGT: I posted my dyno sheets in our other topic in Talk for my 100 shot dry to show the 100 rwhp and 210 rwtq I gained. later

A little :ot: but does anyone leave the nitrous bottle inside the car? Like hidden behind the front seats? Its not dangerous, is it? I might do nitrous in the future and I'd like it inside the car so I could turn off the bottle in an emergency. I don't wanna have to trust a remote opener.

NX wet kit is the only way to go.
For the BEST prices on the net go to mustangx.com
If you can find a better deal on the net he will price match them.
I'll be installing my NX wet kit in about three to four weeks.
